My 2002 Mercury 50 HP motor sat in the water 30 days Sept till now. Turned the key and noticed more smoke than usual and it didnt clear up during idle. Saw the recirculating pee water just gurgling and not flowing.
The intake for water was clear, however, appeared to be blowing water slowly out, instead of sucking in. Oil appeared on the water surface, spreading out in a circular manner from the boat. White smoke didnt stop. Ran for about 4 minutes.
Motor was never raised out of water for 30 days. Did something grow inside it??
