I have just started my 4th month of taking 100mg clomid. The first 3 attempts didn't work and am not being monitored so unsure as to whether i ovulated or not-I think I did at least twice-OPK positive and temp went up and got AF every 31 days. The only sign that failed to show was EWCM. If still no EWCM this month, should I talk to my DR who asked me no questions other than did I ovulate-which I said yes-but now not so sure? Also if clomid didnt work before, is it likely to work now and should he had increased the dosage to 150mg?

Hi,
This isn't the type of story I like to hear... it's how women end up with high order multiples. If your doctor isn't monitoring you, consider switching doctors. A few other things to note:
- OPKs are not necessarily accurate when using clomid. I import and sell OPKs in Israel and I do not sell them to women who say they are using clomid for this reason.
- It is not recommended to do multiple successive cycles with clomid. After a few months, the uterine lining is damaged, preventing implantation or increasing the risk of early miscarriage. If this cycle doesn't work, consider taking a break!
- Your doctor asking you whether you ovulated or not is about the same as him asking what your exact hemoglobin level is. It is nearly impossible for you to actually know that you ovulated (although some women do feel their ovulation & perhaps those women can say so with some level of certainty). You should be monitored with blood tests and ultrasounds...
- Treatment with clomid is frequently combined with IUI (intrauterine insemination). Is there a reason why your doctor hasn't chosen this path?
I wish you all the best & hope that you will get better treatment soon!
