42 - Is it too late to get a relatively gorgeous body?

I'm 42, and need to lose about 21 lbs (although 14 would be nice!) I've almost cut out the alcohol, eat very healthily, and exercise about 3 to 4 times a week. Unless I become obsessive about going to the gym, is it too late for me to get a reasonably fit toned body?

Helly,

It's never too late to get fit.  I don't recommend excercising more than 3 to 4 times a week, unless you are wanting to build muscle mass.  There is no guarantee that you will get a gorgeous body, but taking time to improve your overall health will benefit you in the long run. Laughing

No, it's not too late - look at Demi Moore. I have read on Project Weight Loss what's her style to get in shape. The actress does Pilates, cardio, and yoga programs. Of course, she has a healthy diet too.

Hello

It's never too late to build a great body for your age.  Think of Suzanne Somers, Jane Fonda, and Madonna just to name a few.  Of course, it is not easy. Like a lot of things in life, you will get out of it what you put into it.  I personally enjoy working out and doing cardio. It's not drudgery for me. On the contrary, it is a natural high.  Have you ever heard of the "runner's high"? When people are really out of condition then exercise is very painful for them, but as they get into shape exercise becomes less painful and maybe even enjoyable.
