Thanks Raveen for your query. Please find out the following…
NMT (Nordisk Mobil Telefoni or Nordic Mobile Telephony in English) is the first fully-automatic cellular phone standard . It was specified by Nordic telecommunications administrations starting in 1970, and opened for service in 1981 as a response to the increasing congestion and heavy requirements of the manual mobile phone networks.. Osten Makitalo can be considered as the father of NMT standards.
NMT is based on analog technology and there were two variants: NMT-450 and NMT-900. NMT-900 was introduced later because it carries more channels than NMT-450 .
Advanced Mobile Phone System (AMPS) is the analog cellular system standard developed by Bell Labs, and introduced in the US in 1983. It was the primary analog cellular system in North America.
Plz do let me know if you have any query on this.
Thanks,
