First, a note of thanks for your outstanding efforts to hold NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell accountable for his disparaging remarks about Rush Limbaugh’s desire to purchase a share of the St. Louis Rams.
Action team members blitzed Goodell’s office with more than 135,000 phone calls, demanding he apologize to Rush. Brent Bozell shared this information with Rush, along with the hundreds of notes of encouragement we received, and Rush was very appreciative. We are tremendously grateful for yet another incredibly successful grassroots initiative, and we applaud and appreciate your commitment.

John,
Late last Saturday evening, Democrat leaders in the House narrowly passed a health care bill that, if it becomes law, will effectively transfer control of your health care decisions to the Federal government.
The leftwing media coverage of this event was predictable. They flooded the airwaves with speeches by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Obama, touting the historic nature of this vote. What you didn’t hear was the truth about the real cost of this massive government takeover of one-sixth of the U.S. economy.
We now know—from the Congressional Budget Office —that the “fully implemented” cost of the House plan is a staggering $3 TRILLION!
Just try to imagine the tax increases and Medicare cuts that will be necessary to pay for this experiment in socialized health care!
Also ignored by the media was the fact that 39 House Democrats joined with Republicans in their opposition to Pelosi’s government takeover bid. These men and women no doubt had to weather extreme arm-twisting and intimidation tactics from Pelosi and Obama, but they refused to cave. Among them is Rep. Mike Ross (D-AR) who said, “With more than $400 billion in cuts to Medicare, it could force many of our rural hospitals to close, providing less access and care for our seniors.”
Rep. Mike McIntyre (D-NC) also stood up against this bill, objecting to its punitive affects. “It raises too much in new taxes and imposes new requirements that will harm the ability of too many small businesses to compete and create jobs.”
Rep. Tim Holden (D-PA) has said, “It’s a trillion dollar program at a time when we’re at the highest deficit and debt that our nation has ever accumulated, and the bill they’re proposing, is, in my opinion, bad public policy.”
This kind of dissent within the Democrat party is huge news, but it’s being downplayed by the Leftist media. They know the American people don’t want government-run health care, but they continue to act as cheerleaders for ObamaCare.
The left-wing media don’t dare highlight the opposition to ObamaCare. But the MRC can, and we will continue to do so, because this kind of information is vital and must be brought to light.
John, what these lawmakers did is courageous and worthy of our praise. That’s why we’re asking you to take a few moments to thank them for their heroic stand. Please click here to access the list with contact information.
When calling, encourage them to remain strong throughout this entire health care debate. Urge them to champion the truth about this takeover plan—the outrageous cost, fees, and taxes, and how it serves as a vehicle for increased government control over the most private and personal aspects of our lives. The truth the liberal media continue to try to cover up.
That’s why, as the health care debate moves to the Senate, you have our commitment that the researchers, reporters and bloggers at the MRC will continue to provide you with the facts being ignored by the leftist media.
Question:
1) For all U Obummer / Pukosi Lovers out there (young skulls full of mush I think Rush says), would U Lie to Us as Ur "Friends" here have saying "this will only cost $900 Billion"???
2) How will U Explain this to Ur Enslaved Children when they ask why they must pay such Heavy Taxes???
