Turn off the television and teach your children how to think.

I jump roped just a couple of days before I had my first child - just because someone told me I couldn't. I can be kind of contrary sometimes.

But I don't think it made it happen any faster. Although ... he was born just four days past my due date and the whole thing (start to finish) only took 2 hours and 55 minutes.

So...

Meanwhile, I believe nipple stimulation will make your uterus contract - so you can enlist your husband's help, or do it yourself (on the sneak, if that's what appeals) and see what happens.

Best of luck!

Yesterday's gone and Today is going fast, Tomorrow is all we have, Until it to has passed

I would definetly stay off the 4 wheeler if I were you. Go out for a long walk instead. Physical activity of any kind is more likely to bring on labor than bouncing around on a utility vehicle. Besides you are not even due yet. The baby will come when it is ready, so relax and let it happen.

They're are all kinds of myths and so called remedies for supposedly inducing labor, but basically that's all they are. Mother nature knows best, let her make the decision when the time is right.

"please don't tell me to have sex. i'm so sick of being told to have sex!"

I know I'm out of my area of expertise but having fathered several kids, I recall my wife's OBGYN telling me that the cervex would begin to dialate so sex after 6 months was inadvisable. Things may have changed since then but unless your OBGYN is the one advising you to have sex, I'd seriously question this advice.

It's actually the baby that decides when to come out. When the baby produces enough of the natural hormone oxytocin, then labor and everything else will start. Just have patience, the baby will come!
