230 MPG Car, Are you ready to use it !!??

Hold your breath! Volt, the electric car from Chevrolet according to tests under the EPA, is going to get a “230 MPG [urban] fuel economy rating”.That’s quite a number and it’s sure to catch attention of consumers and car enthusiasts, specially in these times of recession and economic slowdown. This single piece of information (on the fuel economy rating) is creating quite a buzz in the automobile circles as well as in the media.

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

The government devised a somewhat obtuse formula for comparing electric cars with gasoline-fueled cars.

You need to understand that the MPG being quoted for the Volt includes the milage that is provided by the rechargable battery.

Another vehicle about to debut will claim 300 MPG, even though it is totally electric and does not have a fuel tank at all.

How do they get mpg of an all electric car? Wouldn't it make more sense to rate them on mpc? Miles per charge.

You know that is nothing but hype. back in the very early 60's the ,the car companies hd a mileage contest. Puegot to one of there small 4 cylinder pickups changed the wheel configuration and used gears and jack shafts ,and low and behold, the truck got more than 350 miles per gallon.A TRUE AND VERIFIED.

Guess what the car came up for sell on ebay last Winter fo 9 days.On dat 2 ,guess what it was took of and sold to a person in the fuel making industry.

kinda funny huh!  Check it out for yourself. it can be done with no problem at anytime the Govt. and the Billionaires decide,and that is not ever going to happen.
