2004 yz250f

strictly dirt My son is 14, has had bikes since the age of 8, he currently has a ttr125 and is looking at a 2004 yz250f. Is this bike ok for trails? He is not a motocross rider and wants to trail ride. His mom thinks it is "to much bike" but he seems fine on it. Any help? He is 5 ft 11, 160 lbs and does pretty well riding but is cautious not daredevil.

With a stock 250, it appears to do just fine unless you're riding fast and steep and then you'd need some upgrades. A 15 year old of that size and with experience should be able to handle himself, but you're the parent - your call.
