2003 ford fiesta over revving

my 2003 ford fiesta is over-revving when idling. It has an automatic choke

which may be stuck. Is there any way I could fix this myself?

If it is a stuck choke here is a good article about

adjusting an automatic choke. Requires minimum tools or previous experience.

A carburettor (auto ckoke) on a 2003 Fiesta.?  .... I dont think so.

More likely to be be a sensor fault (speed sensor likely) or possibly its lost what I call base settings. Take it to an auto electrical technician and have its fault data base read to see if there are any faults stored. Then get a quote.

The 'auto choke' is located on the very top of the throttle body, and is ECM controlled. So you could have either a faulty valve, or a blown idle circuit in the ECM.
