I live in Central Fl,Im Disabled 100% have two minor daughters and ssi is my only income ,I have to take 12 -14 perscription meds a month, and am limited in mobility.when the price of gas went up to over 4 bucks a gallon ,I got about a 10 dollar a month raise, just enough to keep me off food stamps ,Id rather they kept there 10 bucks,at over 15 bucks an hour ,im suprised your even asking that question,Most people Do not make that kind of money here in central florida, unless you work at the cape, or some place like that. You Obviously have no idea what living at the poverty level is,Im not at it according to the limits and i worked for 30 years straight until an on the job injury took me out.Id much rather be working ,but be happy you have a great job that pays well ,when the shuttle program shuts down ,you will be lucky to have a job at McDonalds.
