“pisha” of wine

I have been in a kosher restaurant and in it I have seen in the wine list a option of ordering a small pitcher full of wine and a glass – it was called a “pisha” or something of the sort.

Is it a kosher arrangement or is it an international thing?

Well for once i am totally dumbfounded. I can find no reference at all to a word, wine, glassware, yiddish term that applies to Pisha other than it is an old family name.

You may want to check with other kosher restaurants in you are to see if you have the spelling correct.

Then again there may be someone else that knows what it is.

Sorry!
