If she is growling at a member of your household then you should speak to a dog trainer as soon as you can. I don't know if you have any small children (or if the dog is ever around small children), but if the dog is acting aggressively towards people it is not a good sign.

you can try this.  Husband should feed the dog.  Put some food in the bowl.  Hold the bowl.  Give the dog a few pieces from your free hand.  If any aggression is shown.  Withdraw the food.  If the dog takes the food from the hand gently praise him.  While holding the bowl allow the dog to take some food but gently raise the bowl.  The dog should associate you as the source of food not as a threat to the food.  The dog should allow you to pet him while he is eating.  

The exercise will have to be repeated many times and may have to be broken into smaller steps.  The important thing is that the dog have a positive association between food and humans.
