04 ford explorer no heat

04 ford explorer with dual auto temperture control has no heat on either side. The coolant level is good, both heater hoses are hot, all fuses are good, replaced left blend door motor did not get heat on that side, all other functions are normal. Where should I go from here?

Here is a wild guess.  If the trap door to the air vent on either side is operated by vacuum, a disconnected vacuum hose will cause the trap door to remain closed so that warm air cannot flow out.  I am assuming the blower motor is working properly and hot air is coming out from the other air vents.
