I have your pattern for Crochet Chicks. I'm ready ...

The S1 st and the first 6 sc means - Do a slip stitch in the first 6 sc of the previous row. Another words you are going to be dropping these stitches and not crocheting in them on your new row.

You could try using "Iron-on Transfer Paper" - It's available at Wal-mart, Target, Office Supplies, etc. - Look for it where the specialty printer paper is sold. I hope this helps. Good luck!
