Do i need to turn my watermellons every day to ...

It does help to turn them so they wont rot. Also, if you can prop them like on an old bed spring, it keeps them from sitting on the ground and rotting.I grow all my melons and pumpkins on old bed ...

What makes a tomatoe get rotten on the bottom ...

Sometimes its because the sunlight doesnt quite get to that area, and it will soften and sometimes rot from that. Tomatoes need lots of sunlight!

Iris plants

It surely wouldnt hurt to thin and feritilize, just make sure you dont use to harsh a fertilizer. I havnt had much personal experience with Iris plants,but I know my mom use to grow some lovely ones ...
