Way to prevent home heat loss

standard dryer vents have a damper in them. there is a kit with a bypass damper in it to divert exhaust from the dryer into the house, only use it if you have an electric dryer.

thermostat is another possibilty, chuck is right about the rest of this answer. so you need a voltmeter to check power on the thermostat leads for 24 volts on the contactor. remove the leads to check ...
