need more info but if is a gas dryer it may have a ceramic ignitor element that may have burnt up also there is a over temp switch small round 2 wires to it need more info to help

How to connect battery cables to a 1981 gmc ...

trace each wire 2wires ,one on the left side battery and the right side battery should go to frame or block [ground] thats it those are your ground wires

open top rear panel there is a trouble shooting guide kinside to fix od problem get two thin pieces of metal and slide them in on the left front&right top front top cover to release the top clips ...
