Cramping during early pregnancy

Found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago.. ( about 7-8 wks along)..last night I woke up with pretty bad menstral feeling cramps.. but ...

It is my first.. I have an appointment tuesday... I have heard from a few friends that it is probably just ligaments stretching, who knew it could be so painful when baby is so tiny!! :)
