How do I stop the auto add e mail address ...

Sign in at mail.aol.com and go to Settings | Compose | Sending and uncheck the box to auto add to your Address Book on send.

Too much junk email

Yikes! That's a lot of junk mail. Deleting that much mail in one operation will take too long. You can select 500 or so at a time using Shift+Click and then Delete.

Sounds like your Address Book is out of sync. Trying adding a new contact to your Address Book. This should force a redownload from the server and your auto-complete feature should start working ...
