"You have to die a little bit, in order to learn how to live."
1984 C.A.P.T.R.A. award winning journalist for K.L.U.C. 98.5 FM Las Vegas, NV., K.W.N.R. 95.5 FM Las Vegas, NV. And, K.M.Z.Q. Classy 100.5 FM Las Vegas, NV., and was the host of “West Coast AM” heard in 14 western states nightly from K.D.W.N. 720 Am., Las Vegas. Barry was also the Prime Television News Director for American Forces Radio and Television Service, Europe..(74-78) Yeah, that’s just a peek at my resume. My fifty-two years in music , television and film was my passion. I never “worked” a day in my life! My friends and colleges urge me to write [that} book. But, to be honest , that’s work and I won’t do it! Truth can sometimes be dangerous and some information I have acquired over my life could be a hassle, especially if you speak truth to power. However, I want to share this because it has made me a wiser and better person. I have been HIV positive for over 29 years, survived stage-4 throat cancer for 9 years and if I transfer to the afterlife tomorrow, I honestly say to you, I have lived the life of many men and still love every moment! My favorite writer is Aaron Sorkin.. Some of Aaron’s works include, “A FEW GOOD MEN” “THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT” and my lifesaving favorite, “THE WEST WING.” This multi Emmy winning series is currently in re-runs on BRAVO. The genus of Aaron Sorkin , his superb cast and crew, got me through 4 hard years of Chemo, radiation and surgery. Aaron wrote to my friend Sarah when I was so sick, “please let Barry know that, for what it’s worth, I along with the cast and crew of The West Wing think he’s a man of uncommon strength and will.. A lot of people he’s never met will be praying for him.” Thank YOU Aaron! You were the instrument I used to survive the treatment. YOU are the uncommon man Aaron, not me. If you are fan of the Beatles and their amazing accomplishments?(who isn’t). Well, wonder no longer where the spirits of John Lennon and George Harrison have set up creative shop. I strongly urge you to acquire “SoundLight” by Keith Chagall on Seven-Thunders Music @ Records. Talk about raising the bar and a timeless sound. Keith will have you crying or simply listening completely in awe . Either way, prepare yourself for an out-of body-experience if you love and cherish the incredible musical benchmarks of the latter part of the Twentieth Century. The Fab Four is fully captured by this masterpiece by Chagall. “SoundLight” is the ultimate tribute to John, Sir Paul, George and Ringo and for Beatle fans worldwide! As you will notice in the photographs included in the “SoundLight” CD. It is obvious George Harrison , seated next to K.C. at the mixing board, appeared very pleased experiencing the finished album prior to his untimely death. I am also personally convinced, knowing of Keith Chagall’s amazing spirituality, that John Lennon approves overwhelming as well. May they both rest in peace! You might also check out Chagall’s “Angles On The Faultline,’ and his up-coming cultural “ground breaker, “Invitation,“ a tribute to romance, love , and all the things that make -up our sparkling musical culture. Check it all out at Keith Chagall’ s myspace.com . I have had the privilege of working at my craft for 52 years and my EARS, (in my opinion) are right-on with Chagall. ENJOY!! So, my friends, as stated In a popular beer commercial featuring the most interesting man in world , (who claims to be able to Speak Spanish in Russian ) “stay thirsty my friends.” POST HOC, ERGO, PROPTER HOC (thetravler)
